James F. Humphreys Donates to Local Causes

James F. Humphreys recently pledged $5,000 to benefit The Foundation for the Thomas Memorial in the Charleston, W.V. area. A portion of the money will cover the costs of car seats and baby supplies for low-income families in need, and the rest will provide 125 free flu shots to the elderly.

Founded in 1989, The Foundation for Thomas Health is a non-profit organization that supports Herbert J. Thomas Jr., Memorial Hospital and Saint Francis Hospital. Collectively, these hospitals have been serving the Charleston community for more than 170 years.

Funds donated to the Foundation are used toward patient care and programs to further improve the health, education and well-being of the citizens residing in the community.

The foundation is guided by its Executive Director, staff and Board of Directors, which James F. Humphreys has served on in the past. He is also a recipient of the Philanthropist of the Year Award from the Foundation.
